IRGC: Ayatollah Sistani called for collective jihad to protect Iran

One of Iraq's leading Shiite leaders has issued a fatwa (decision) on the need for collective jihad to protect Iran. This was announced on March 8 by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Telegram channel.
"Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Sistani, one of the highest Shiite religious authorities in Iraq, in response to a religious request (istift) from one of his followers, emphasized the obligation of collective jihad to defend the Islamic Revolution of Iran," the spiritual leader said.
