Lukashenko proposed to rename coffee Americano
On March 8, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited one of the Minsk restaurants of the fast food chain "Mak.buy", where he was shown how the self-service stand works.
The name "Americano" coffee appeared on the scoreboard among the drinks offered. The video was published by the Telegram channel Pool One, which is close to the press service of the President of Belarus.
"Americano should be renamed the Belarusian brand. For now, write "American" in parentheses, when they get used to it, then...," Lukashenko advised Victoria Danko, director of the network.
She immediately suggested using the name "black coffee." Lukashenko liked the idea.
Also, during his visit to the establishment, Lukashenko instructed First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov to invite representatives of the United States and show them how fast food restaurants "Mcbai" operate in the republic. The Head of State recalled that after McDonald's left Belarus, he set the task of creating a domestic equivalent that would be no worse than the American chain.
