The IDF reported the first casualties during the operation in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reported that it has suffered its first military losses during operations in Lebanon. According to the press service on March 8, two Israeli soldiers were killed in an operation against the Hezbollah movement.
"Senior Sergeant Mayer Khatar, 38, from Majdal Shams, and a fighter <...> engineering troops, fell in battle in southern Lebanon," the Telegram channel said.
The name of the second victim is still unknown.
A day earlier, Al Manar TV channel reported that the death toll from Israeli strikes during the landings in eastern Lebanon had risen to 41 people. In addition, 40 people were injured as a result of the Israeli landing.
Al Hadath TV channel also reported that one of the goals of the IDF in the Lebanese Republic was to collect the remains of navigator Ron Arad, who was captured in 1986. The IDF later confirmed this information.
