Residents and vacationers of Sochi were asked to leave the embankments for safety reasons due to the threat of drone attacks, Mayor Andrey Proshunin issued a warning on March 8.

"Dear residents and guests of Sochi resort. Today is a public holiday, but now it is necessary to leave the embankments and take refuge in safe places until the city becomes calm," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Later, the threat of a UAV attack was canceled. Proshunin clarified that there is no danger for residents and guests of the resort city of Sochi.
