On March 8, Russian servicemen stationed in the special operation zone supported a little boy named Elisha from Nizhny Novgorod, who was unable to buy flowers for his mother on the eve of International Women's Day because he was too young.

Elisha went to the flower shop to buy a bouquet for his mother, but they did not sell it to the boy because he was too young. He offered a compromise — to go to the store with his mother, provided that her eyes were closed to preserve the surprise effect. As a result, the bouquet was bought, and the florists explained that they were careful — the sale could be invalidated in case of parental claims.

"Your desire to congratulate your mother on March 8th is the act of a real man. We express our support to you. You are growing up to be a real man," said the soldiers of the volunteer detachment "Bars-17".

Andrey, a Russian serviceman and a member of the SVO, also expressed support and congratulated the women on their holiday.

"He wanted to give his mom flowers on March 8, but they didn't sell them to him, and they shouldn't have, because it's the kind of guys our whole country will rely on," the fighter said.

According to the military, the boy is a real hero for his age. The fighter expressed the hope that Russia will be rich in such youth.

"You have already committed an act worthy of a real man and a loving son. We, the military, say that you have done well and your act is a worthy male example for your peers," said the servicemen of the 352nd regiment of the North group of forces.

A fighter of the 7th separate Guards Motorized Rifle brigade noted that Elisha did not lose heart in the current situation and still gave a gift to his mother. In addition, he expressed gratitude to the boy's parents for the proper upbringing of their son.

The staff of the front-line brigade of the song and dance ensemble of the Center group of forces on the same day, on the occasion of International Women's Day, organized a festive concert for residents of Donetsk. After the performance, the artists thanked the audience for their warmth and smiles, and wished them happiness, love and patience.

On March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin also addressed Russian women on the occasion of International Women's Day. He noted that women in the Russian Federation achieve "amazing results", and they do it in a variety of professions. If necessary, Russian women show steadfastness of character, strong-willed and leadership qualities.
