Now is the perfect time to convene a summit of the permanent members of the UN Security Council. This was stated on March 8 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the Vesti news agency.

"President Putin has been suggesting for a long time, before the [pandemic] COVID, that we hold a summit of the Security Council, the permanent members. It seems to me that now is the time to implement such an idea," he said.
