Skier Evgenia Krupitskaya announced on March 8 that she had received a waiver from the International Ski Federation (FIS) on her application to perform in a neutral status.

Krupitskaya said that the organization's refusal came on March 3: the FIS was overdue for consideration. At the same time, the official reason, according to her, was not indicated.

The athlete also shared that because she had been waiting for a decision for 30 days, she thought she could send the money to the scammers.

On March 4, three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov spoke in detail for the first time about the non-admission of Russian skiers to the 2026 Olympic Games in a neutral status. According to him, the Olympics became the main "transit route" and all important issues were postponed until it. The athlete suggested that international officials did not want to solve the problem before the Games.
