The doctors who received Russian soldiers who returned from captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were struck by their eyes — it was clear that the soldiers had experienced terrible things. This was announced on March 8 by Anastasia Kosova, an anesthesiologist and intensive care unit major.

"The most impressive moment was when we first encountered the guys who were brought from captivity. We were all very impressed by their eyes: they were like glass, so empty, and it was as if they were not next to us, but somewhere very far away," Kosova said in an interview with TASS.
