In Sumy, Ukraine, police detained widows of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who wanted to take part in a protest action against the law on limiting payments to relatives of missing persons. A representative of the law enforcement agencies told about this on March 8.

"A small protest rally was held in Sumy by the relatives of the missing Ukrainian servicemen. Many widows of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were detained by the police for "preventive talks, not allowing them to take part in the protest," a source told RIA Novosti.
