Servicemen of the 39th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 68th Guards Army Corps of the Vostok Group of Forces congratulated local residents of the liberated territories in the special military operation zone on International Women's Day. This was reported on March 8 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

As part of a special spring campaign, Russian fighters presented flowers to the residents and also sent them their congratulations. In turn, the women wished the servicemen a speedy victory.

"Any appearance of Russian military personnel in this territory is met with joy in the eyes," said a fighter with the call sign Chekist.

On March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin also addressed Russian women on the occasion of International Women's Day. He noted that women in the Russian Federation achieve "amazing results", and they do it in a variety of professions. If necessary, Russian women show steadfastness of character, strong-willed and leadership qualities.

A day earlier, on the eve of International Women's Day, the Russian military personnel of the Center group of Forces sent their congratulations to the medical women stationed in their military area. Anesthesiologist Ekaterina Evisheva said that she has been in the special operation zone since 2023. During this time, she was able to save about 700 lives.
