Fighters of the Center group of forces staged a festive concert for Donetsk women
The staff of the front-line brigade of the song and dance ensemble of the Center group of forces organized a festive concert for Donetsk residents on the occasion of International Women's Day. This was reported on March 8 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the program included compositions beloved throughout the country.
"The audience especially liked the performance of the songs "Dark Mounds Sleep" and "Beauty Queen". Many people passing by stopped, danced, sang along and filmed a wonderful concert," the Defense Ministry noted.
After the performance, the artists thanked the audience for their warmth and smiles, and wished them happiness, love and patience. The band promised to return to the city in a year with a new performance by the next March 8th.
"The concert was held in a warm atmosphere. People sang along with us, clapped, and danced," said Insaf Abdullin, an artist with the front—line creative brigade of the Central Military District.
He noted that the ensemble was also pleased to hold a performance for the residents of Donbass on such a day.
"A lot of young people and residents of Donetsk joined in. Everyone was laughing, smiling, dancing and singing," local resident Kira Shmyglenko shared her emotions.
On March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin also addressed Russian women on the occasion of International Women's Day. He noted that women in the Russian Federation achieve "amazing results", and they do it in a variety of professions. If necessary, Russian women show steadfastness of character, strong-willed and leadership qualities.
A day earlier, on the eve of International Women's Day, the Russian military personnel of the Center group of Forces sent their congratulations to the medical women in their area. Anesthesiologist Ekaterina Evisheva said that she has been in the special operation zone since 2023. During this time, she was able to save about 700 lives.
