Several U.S. soldiers were captured. This statement was made on March 7 by the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani.

"I have heard that several American soldiers have been captured in one of the neighboring countries," the Iranian state television and radio company IRIB quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.
