The United States is organizing the transfer of American Merops anti-drone air defense systems to the Middle East, which were also tested in Ukraine, to combat Iranian drones. This was reported on March 7 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

"The US army is rushing to the Middle East drone countermeasures systems that have been tested in battles in Ukraine to prevent Tehran's attacks across the region," the article says.

According to the newspaper, a small number of defensive systems are being sent directly from the US Army reserves in Europe, along with American personnel, for their operation and training of other troops.

Earlier in the day, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that Iran's interim governing council had decided not to launch missile strikes or attack the territories of neighboring states with drones, except in cases where aggression comes from themselves.

The Anadolu agency also noted that the US Armed Forces lost almost $2 billion worth of military equipment during the operation in Iran. The most costly loss was the American AN/FPS-132 early warning system at the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, which costs $1.1 billion.
