Skiers Klebo and Sundling won the sprint races at the World Cup
Norwegian Johannes Klebo and Swedish Yonna Sundling won the freestyle sprint at the ninth stage of the Ski Racing World Cup. The race took place on March 7 in the Finnish city of Lahti.
In the men's final, Klebo covered the distance in 2 minutes 49.84 seconds. Lars Heggen, also from Norway, followed him with a 0.42-second gap.
Among the women, Sundling took the first place, completing the distance in 3 minutes and 7 seconds. Sweden's Lynn Swan came in second place with a difference of 0.17 seconds.
On the same day, alpine skier Varvara Voronchikhina won bronze in downhill and became the first Russian Paralympic medalist in Italy. Sweden's Ebba Orshe won, while France's Aurelie Richard won silver.
