The media reported on the arrival of the American B-1 Lancer bomber in Britain
An American B-1 Lancer bomber capable of carrying 24 cruise missiles has landed in the UK. This was announced on March 7 by the British television channel BBC.
The arrival of the huge plane came after U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that strikes on Iran were "about to intensify dramatically." The 44.5-meter B-1 Lancer bomber arrived at RAF Fairford air base in Gloucestershire on Friday evening," the publication says.
The channel also drew attention to the fact that an American bomber landed in the kingdom shortly after US President Donald Trump's statement about his dissatisfaction with military cooperation with the United Kingdom.
Prior to that, Trump said that he was disappointed with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer because on March 1 he banned him from using the air base on Diego Garcia Island to launch strikes against Iran. However, later that day, Starmer changed his position and stated that he would allow the US Air Force access to Diego Garcia for "specific and limited purposes."
