The Russian Foreign Ministry called on Baku and Tehran to refrain from ill-considered steps

On March 7, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on Iran and Azerbaijan to act wisely and not create new dividing lines in connection with the downing of Iranian UAVs in Nakhichevan.

"As the Russian side has repeatedly warned before, this military adventure may have the most negative impact on the security of all countries in the region, primarily Iran's neighbors. And so it happened. Today's developments are the direct responsibility of the authors of the aggression, as well as those who directly or indirectly play along with it," Zakharova said, her words are quoted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
