The boy was removed from the Kuban swimming championship because of the logo
At a swimming competition in Krasnodar on March 6, a 12-year-old swimmer was suspended because of the logo on his equipment. This was reported by the portal 93.ru .
According to the teenager's parents, the boy's cap and swimming trunks had the logo of a brand that had left Russia, and it was the English-language name that was the reason for the suspension.
The Aquatics Federation commented on the situation on March 7, noting that the reason for the suspension was the size of the logo, and the referee acted in strict accordance with the rules.
"According to the regulations, the total size of the logo on the equipment (swimming trunks and a cap are considered a single set) should not exceed 30 sq. cm. This is an international standard. Unfortunately, in this case, the limit was exceeded," the statement said.
Russian Alexey Bugaev took third place in the alpine skiing competition at the 2026 Paralympic Games in Italy on March 7. Bugaev showed a result of 1 minute 18.94 seconds in the downhill in the standing category.
