Residents evacuated due to the UAV crash in Yelets were allowed to return home
Those evacuated due to the crash of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in Yelets, Lipetsk region, can return to their homes. This was announced on March 7 by the mayor Vyacheslav Zhabin.
"Evacuated residents can return home. There is no threat anymore," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The mayor clarified that the fragments of the drone had been neutralized, and also thanked the sappers and representatives of the emergency services for the work done.
On March 7, the governor of the Lipetsk region reported a UAV crash near an apartment building. It was clarified that there were no injured or dead as a result of the incident, but the warhead of the device was preserved in place. Based on this, it was decided to evacuate the residents of four houses.
