On March 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a search operation in Lebanon for navigator Ron Arad, who was captured in 1986.
"As part of the IDF operations in Lebanon, IDF special forces conducted a night search for missing navigator Ron Arad. There have been no reports of injuries among the IDF soldiers," the army wrote on its Telegram channel.
According to the report, no trace of the missing man was found at the search site. The Israeli army noted that the search operations for the missing soldiers will continue.
On the same day, Al Hadath TV channel reported that one of the goals of the IDF operation in the Lebanese Republic was to recover the remains of navigator Ron Arad, who was captured in 1986.
