A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Kiev's terrorist attacks on civilian targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, Russian troops launched a massive strike with long-range precision weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and military airfields.

The North group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. As a result of the actions of the Russian military, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 200 militants, 10 vehicles, a RADA RPS-42 radar station, two electronic warfare stations, and four ammunition and materiel depots.

"The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, jaeger, airmobile brigades, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air defense brigade and three National Guard brigades in the areas of settlements <...> of the Donetsk People's Republic, <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 335 servicemen," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, attack drones, missiles and artillery, destroyed the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force, damaged transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 149 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs and 200 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 670 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 120,160 UAVs, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28,083 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,681 multiple rocket launchers, 33,677 field artillery and mortars, and 56,060 special vehicles.
