IRGC strikes oil tanker in Strait of Hormuz
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) struck a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported on March 7 by the Fars news agency, citing a statement from the agency.
"This morning, the Prima oil tanker was attacked by a drone," the Telegram channel says.
It is clarified that the ship was attacked after it ignored repeated warnings from the Islamic Republic's Naval Forces (Navy) to ban traffic in the area.
The official representative of the general Staff of the Iranian army, Abolfazl Shekarchi, said on March 6 that Iran had not closed the Strait of Hormuz, but ships associated with Israel or the United States could not pass through it. He stressed that ships associated with these countries may be attacked.
