At least eight people were killed in an attack by the United States and Israel on the province of Isfahan in central Iran. This was reported on March 7 by the Iranian State Television and Radio station IRIB.

"As a result of the terrorist attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime on [the province of] Isfahan, eight citizens were killed," the broadcaster's Telegram channel said.

It is specified that one woman is among the dead.

The day before, the Iranian Red Crescent reported that at least 1,332 people were killed in Iran as a result of the Israeli-American military operation Lion's Roar. It was noted that about 3.6 thousand civilian objects were also damaged, including more than 3 thousand residential buildings, about 520 shopping and service centers, 14 hospitals and nine Red Crescent centers.

At the same time, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that Washington plans to stop the escalation in the Middle East over the next four to six weeks. Earlier, she, who called the main goal of her state the destruction of missile weapons and military industry facilities of the Islamic Republic, said that the United States does not rule out conducting a ground operation in Iran.
