Pensions of Russian citizens over 80 years old will increase from April 1

Starting from April 1, pension payments for several categories of Russian citizens will increase, including all those over the age of 80. Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, told about this on March 7.

"Starting from April 1, social pensions are expected to be indexed by the amount of the increase in the pensioner's subsistence level. The increase will amount to 6.8%. Social disability pensions of groups 1, 2, 3, pensions for the disabled since childhood, as well as pensions for disabled children will also be indexed," she added in an interview with RIA Novosti.
