A Russian company has developed a fiber-optic drone
The Russian company Alkor Tactical has developed a fiber-optic drone that can cover a distance of up to 50 km. A representative of the company told about it on March 7.
"The fiber-optic drones that we produce are capable of flying at a range of up to 50 km. It makes no sense anymore, because the fiber coil will be too heavy, and the drone will no longer be able to carry the payload," a company representative told TASS reporters.
According to him, the family of such drones is called "Ragnarok". They should be either hexacopters or 15-inch drones.
On March 6, German Gomboev, Deputy Minister of Forestry and Timber Processing of the region, said that in 2026, forest fires in the Khabarovsk Territory would be fought using drones. 75 drones are already in service with the fire services, and three more will be added to them this year.
