The opening ceremony of the 2026 Paralympic Games was held in the Italian city of Verona on March 6. The ceremony was attended by Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni.

According to Sport-Express, the start of the Paralympics was given in the ancient amphitheater Arena di Verona, built around 30 AD.
