During the liberation of the Grafskoye settlement in the Kharkiv region, long-range artillery and drones were actively used, and the Russian Army stopped the enemy's attempt to bypass the positions and take the Russian military by surprise on the spot. The details of the liberation of the village on March 7 were told in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The assault unit was advancing, mopping up operations began, and eventually enemies jumped out at us from almost the rear. Our machine gunner reacted. And he fully worked out, did not allow the enemies to enter the rear. They wanted to take us by surprise through their network of trenches, as it turned out later," said the commander of the assault platoon with the call sign Spartak.

It is noted that attack aircraft of the 82nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of the North group of forces took part in the operation. They attacked in small groups with the support of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). From the air, drone operators coordinated the actions of the infantrymen and informed them in a timely manner about possible dangers.

During the cleansing of Grafsky itself, the fighters discovered a real "underground city" that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had built under the village.

"They started in groups of four and five people. We went in for security both day and night, always with the help of UAV platoons, which protected us and warned us in case of danger. There is nowhere without them now," said the commander of the assault company with the call sign "Noisy".

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the release of Grafsky on February 25. The enemy's losses in the direction amounted to more than 220 military personnel, 11 vehicles, a US-made MLRS launcher and three field artillery guns, including an American M777 howitzer. An electronic warfare station and a material depot were also destroyed.
