Military personnel congratulated military nurses on the eve of March 8

On the eve of International Women's Day, the Russian military personnel of the Center group of forces sent their congratulations to the medical women who are in the area of the special military operation (SVO). On March 7, nurses told Izvestia about their work in hospitals.

"I will remember yesterday's woman for a long time. Because when there is a flow of military men, yesterday they brought a 44-year-old civilian woman with a stroke. We were able to stabilize her and transfer her to a civilian ambulance," said Ekaterina Evisheva, an anesthesiologist.

The woman is in the free zone in 2023. During this time, she was able to save about 700 lives.

A positive attitude also helps military personnel cope with injuries, said nurse Svetlana Vasilyeva.

"A woman's smile, love and care saves not only from wounds, but also from despondency. You smile and they smile," she told Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.

For a year and nine months now, she has been working with the military personnel of her military district. At the hospital, she is engaged in dressing patients, injections, electrocardiography (ECG) procedure and other assistance. The woman was inspired to do this job by her own sister, who studied to be a therapist.

"It's a little tough psychologically. Everything is military, you need to get used to the command. The authorities are strict, of course, but I think it's necessary, because there's no other way here," said senior nurse Olga Kolereyeva.

She has been working in the special operation zone for five months now.

In connection with the upcoming International Women's Day, the servicemen presented bouquets of flowers to the nurses.

On March 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with a military communications officer, commander of a communications battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Irina Godunova, said that the communications sector is currently one of the most important, since effective command of troops is impossible without it. Godunova said that work in this direction is underway and developing.
