The United States will decide for itself whether there will be an "unconditional surrender" of Iran during the ongoing US-Israeli military operation against it. This statement was made on March 6 by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.

"The President [of the United States Donald Trump] means that he himself, as the supreme commander of the American armed forces, determines when Iran no longer poses a threat to the United States and the goals of Operation Epic Fury have been fully achieved. Then Iran, in fact, will be in a state of unconditional surrender. Whether they admit it themselves or not," she said in an interview with reporters.
