Tyumen plans to introduce uniforms for bus drivers and conductors, but for now this issue has been postponed due to money, the press service of the city administration reported on Friday, March 6.
The Mayor's office clarified that the implementation of measures to introduce uniforms for line staff of public transport was postponed to a more promising period due to the need to concentrate efforts on priority areas of industry development.
According to the <url> news agency, starting in 2024, the prestige of the bus driver profession began to increase in the regional capital. Among the proposed measures were: salary increases, professional dynasties and the introduction of a new holiday — City Public Transport Day.
Earlier it was reported that 10 public spaces will be put in order in Tyumen in 2016. Among them are the squares of Journalists and Aviators, the Ivovy flooded quarry and the green zone between the parking lot and the school in the Deputatskaya area.
