The presentation of the first historical graphic novel "The Great Patriotic War: Fictional Stories" took place in Moscow. Footage from the March 6 event is published by Izvestia.

"This is our first joint material with the Moscow Public Chamber on directly countering the ideology of neo-Nazism and terrorism. Nowadays, young people very often become victims of the ideologies of neo-Nazism and terrorism. Of course, she accepts modern formats. Modern formats may be better than historical books and monographs," said Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

According to him, the format of the publication is absolutely modern, but at the same time strictly corresponds to the historical truth. Many of the drawings are based on photographs from the war years, and all the content is scientific in nature.

"It is especially important to familiarize the younger generation with this key period of our past, using a language more understandable to young people," said Ruslan Gagkuev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society.

He stressed that the graphic format allows you to build a direct communication channel with teenagers. Using vivid and colorful examples, young readers will be able to learn the truth about the war and see parallels between the crimes of Bandera and their modern followers.

Gagkuev expressed confidence that familiarization with this work would be an occasion for young people to continue studying history on a more serious level.

On February 2, a flower-laying ceremony was held at Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd in honor of the 83rd anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. The event was attended by the governor of the region Andrey Bocharov, veterans, government officials, law enforcement officers and volunteers of public organizations.
