Russian athletes did not receive Samsung smartphones at the Paralympic Games in Italy. This was reported on March 6 by TASS.

It is noted that the devices are given to competitors as a sponsorship gift from partners of the international Olympic and Paralympic movement.

The decision to leave athletes without gifts was caused by sanctions prohibiting the distribution of devices to a number of countries, adds Sport-Express.

The day before, speed skater Ksenia Korzhova said that the organizers of the Olympic Games in Italy first gave her a sponsored smartphone, and after a while they took it away.

In February, representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in turn, replied that Russian athletes who arrived in Italy to participate in the Olympics did not receive their Samsung smartphones due to alleged prohibitions in the legislation.
