A teenager died when the roof of a building collapsed in Nizhny Novgorod.

A teenager died in the collapse of the roof of a non-residential building located on the territory of the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced on Friday, March 6, by the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"Information has been received that today in an abandoned building <...> during a walk by teenagers, the roof of the structure collapsed, and a minor died," the ministry said in a message on the MAX messenger.

It is specified that the incident was recorded on Stationnaya Street. Mikhail Kuznetsov, the district prosecutor, went to the scene to clarify the circumstances.

Upon completion of the inspection, an assessment will be given of the implementation of legislation on the prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency, as well as the requirements of the law for the conservation of unused facilities.

On March 4, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tula region reported the death of a man in the collapse of the roof at the enterprise due to snow accumulation. At that time, there were 45 people in the building, of whom, in addition to one deceased, an employee who was trapped under the rubble was also identified.
