In 2025, Moscow transport set a record for the number of wins in Russian and international competitions — in total, the capital's projects in this area won 91 awards. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Such competitions include the CX World Awards, where the Sbertroika ticket system won in the "Best Digital Customer Experience" nomination, and river electric transport in the "Best Customer Service Innovation" nomination. Delimobil service became the best at the AIM Investment Award in the nomination "Central Asia, Caucasus & Russia".

"The Transport Complex has also held 88 international events. They were attended by 30 countries from Latin America, the CIS, Asia, Africa and the Middle East," the mayor wrote on his channel in the MAX.

Sobyanin also recalled that in August, Moscow hosted the IV International Transport Summit, which was attended by representatives of 43 megacities of the world. The event won the "Best Social Projects of Russia" award in the "Development of International Cooperation" nomination, as well as the "Magistral Awards 2025" award in the "Reliable International Partner" nomination.

The international geography of the UrbanTransportData project has expanded to 32 cities. Last year, 17 more megacities joined it, including Addis Ababa, Astana, Almaty, Yerevan, Havana, Lima, Mexico City and Ho Chi Minh City.

The day before, Sergei Sobyanin announced that the Moscow authorities would continue their work this year aimed at improving the comfort and accessibility of public transport. The key element will be the further development of the ticket system. "The widest choice of fare payment methods in the world and a flexible fare menu for different requests and needs of passengers are already presented," the mayor noted. Taking into account the growing popularity of the most profitable method of paying for travel — by biometrics — this year this method will continue to be implemented at the stations of the IDC, it is also planned to launch it in land transport, he said.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
