US citizens who were unable to fly out of the Middle East due to the closure of airspace after the start of the US-Israeli military operation against Iran complain about the lack of support and coordination of evacuation from the dangerous region. This was reported on March 6 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing Americans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Persian Gulf countries.

"I have friends in Doha, here in the UAE, and in Bahrain. And we all agree that there is no support," American Alexander Wade, who was unable to fly from Abu Dhabi, told the newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the interviewed US citizens were disappointed that the helplines and government support sites were not working, and the hotline staff who could be reached did not know how to help.

"A very disturbing voice on the answering machine recording said that you should not count on the help of the US government in evacuating the region. "Where to evacuate and how to evacuate? How do you suggest we evacuate when the tension has already reached its limit? It feels like they're just kidding us," Wade says indignantly.

In addition, Americans criticize the US government that the evacuation notices were sent out too late, and some later received emails recommending that they stay in Dubai. It is noted that some US citizens still do not know how and when they will be able to leave the dangerous region.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported on March 3 that the United States called on its citizens to leave 15 countries in the Middle East. The relevant recommendations affect Bahrain, the Gaza Strip, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria. It was clarified that citizens can count on the assistance of the US State Department in this matter.

At the same time, a temporary accommodation center was deployed in Dubai on March 2 for tourists who could not leave the hotel on time. Sleeping areas were equipped for the guests. In addition, catering was organized for them — tea and snacks were offered to visitors.
