Pezeshkian reported on the mediation work of a number of countries for a settlement in Iran

A number of countries have begun mediation efforts to resolve the conflict in Iran. This was announced on March 6 by Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian.

"Some countries have begun to make mediation efforts. <...> Mediation should be directed against those who underestimated the Iranian people and provoked this conflict," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Peseshkian stressed that Iran strives for lasting peace in the region, but at the same time "without hesitation" defends its dignity and sovereignty.

Earlier in the day, the Iranian Armed Forces launched the 21st series of strikes against Israel as part of the military Operation True Promise 4. It was noted that the IRGC notifies of the launch of medium-range missiles of the Khaibar series "at targets in the heart of Tel Aviv."

On March 4, Peseshkian, in his message to the leaders of friendly and neighboring countries, reported that the United States and Israel had left his state no choice but to defend itself.
