Sergey Bezrukov appointed Artistic Director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater

Russian actor and director Sergei Bezrukov has been appointed artistic director of the Maxim Gorky Moscow Art Academic Theater (Moscow Art Theater). This was announced on March 6 by the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.

"Sergey Bezrukov has become the artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater," the IACH manager said in a statement.

Bezrukov also heads the Moscow Provincial Theater. There he puts on plays and plays in them.

The actor's theatrical biography began in 1994. Almost a decade and a half later, in 2008, his achievements were awarded the title of "People's Artist of the Russian Federation". Since 2022, Bezrukov has been teaching at VGIK.
