The Central Bank has maintained restrictions on cash withdrawals until September 9.

The Bank of Russia has extended restrictions on foreign currency cash withdrawals for another six months, until September 9, 2026, the regulator's press service reported on March 6.

"The Bank of Russia maintains restrictions on cash currency due to the sanctions in force against our country, which prohibit domestic financial institutions from purchasing the cash currency of Western countries," the regulator's website says.
