The Central African Republic (CAR) Defense Forces, with the support of Russian instructors, managed to stop the rebellion and prevent a violent seizure of power. This was stated on March 6 by CAR President Faustin-Arcange Touadera, who visited Moscow on a working visit.
"Since 2020, the Russian Federation has supported the Central African Republic in difficult and critical moments. In 2020, we faced an insurgency by the CPC ("Coalition of Patriots for Change"), which sought to destabilize the country and prevent residents from coming to the polls," TASS quoted him as saying.
