Footage of the destruction of an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) carrier ship by American troops was published on March 5 by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces on the social network X.

"Today, an Iranian unmanned aircraft carrier, roughly the size of an aircraft carrier from World War II, was hit and is now on fire," the report said.

The ministry stressed that they "will not hold back" in eliminating the Iranian navy.

Fox News channel reported on that day that the flagship frigate of the Iranian Navy, IRIS Dena, was sunk as a result of a single US torpedo hit, the cost of which is estimated at $4.2 million. The ship was hit by a Mark 48 Advanced Capability (ADCAP) torpedo from an American submarine. The torpedo's warhead is equipped with a charge weighing almost 300 kg.

At the same time, Admiral Brad Cooper, head of the Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (CENTCOM), said that the United States had carried out airstrikes on almost 200 targets in Iran over the past 72 hours.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
