The U.S. Treasury Department has allowed India to purchase Russian oil for 30 days. This was announced on March 5 by the head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent.

"The Ministry of Finance is issuing a temporary 30-day exemption allowing Indian refineries to purchase Russian oil," he wrote on the social network.
