The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is considering a possible freezing of Iran's assets worth billions of dollars as a measure to counter the Islamic Republic. This was reported on March 5 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.

"The UAE is considering the possibility of freezing billions of dollars worth of Iranian assets stored in this Persian Gulf state. This step may block one of the most important economic arteries of Tehran," the publication says.
