Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Aerospace Forces, commander of the communications battalion Irina Godunova the use of messengers in the war zone, the Kremlin's website reported on March 5.

During the event dedicated to International Women's Day, the president asked about the assessment of the situation in the field of communications, noting that today it is one of the key areas for the country.

"Without communication, there can be no effective command of troops, and therefore, the result we need. Starlink has been disabled. There are other issues related to communications, and there are also things that the enemy has been using so far, while we have used the appropriate technical capabilities that did not directly belong to us. How do you think the connection is now? And what else needs to be done to make it work flawlessly?" – the head of state asked a question.
