Washington can use a policy of "flexible realism" towards Russia in order to avoid an escalation of the conflict. This was announced on March 5 by Elbridge Colby, Deputy Head of the US Department of Defense for Political Affairs, at a meeting of the Armed Services Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
"Flexible realism is a practical approach," TASS quoted the politician as saying.
Colby explained that the tactics are based on existing realities.
