The improvement project of Lenin Square in Kurgan will be developed in 2026

A public space has been identified in Kurgan, the project of which will take part in the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment. It became Lenin Square, according to the city administration.

From February 17 to March 4, more than 70.5 thousand people took part in the voting. The largest number of respondents voted for the improvement of the central Lenin Square.

Now the architects will have to create a direct project for the upcoming renovation. A bureau from Yekaterinburg will be involved in the development, and representatives of the public will also be involved in the discussion of ideas.

According to the <url> news agency, within two days, the Kurgan administration will host meetings of focus groups from among schoolchildren, students, creative youth, cultural figures, activists, volunteers, veterans and, of course, residents of houses located near the place of planned landscaping.

After development, the project will be sent to the All-Russian competition. In case of victory, the city will receive a grant from the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation for its implementation.
