Muscovites handed over canine medical pouches to their zone.
Activists of the Molodogvardeets association of the Golden Hands of an Angel volunteer organization sent 50 medical pouches for service dogs to the special military operation zone. The first batch of ammunition was made at the direct request of dog handlers and was tested in a specialized center. After testing, the products were sent to Belgorod, from where they will be delivered to the front line. This was reported in the press service of the prefecture of ZAO.
In the combat zone, service dogs help military personnel perform various tasks, including mine search, reconnaissance and sanitary. To increase the efficiency of their work, the activists improved the standard equipment: they increased the size of the pouches to accommodate more medicines and bandages, and also used a stiffer fabric and a Velcro system that allows you to reach the contents with one hand.
"Today, dogs, as during the Great Patriotic War, perform a variety of tasks on the front line: mine-search, reconnaissance, sanitary. The army first aid kit vest for medical dogs consists of two pouches. A dog is able to walk where it is difficult for a person to do so," said Amira Magomedova, head of the Kuntsevo branch of the Molodogvardeets association.
The ammunition was tested at the Fili Children's Park's cynological center under the guidance of Alexei Yefremov, a cynologist with 20 years of experience. During training, dogs in new equipment followed commands and practiced skills to help the conditional wounded.
Along with the pouches, camouflage nets, anti-thermal blankets, soft stretchers, as well as medical supplies and bandages were sent to the front line. Now, at the request of the military, activists are developing new ammunition — protective shoes for dogs.
