On March 5, the CSKA football club launched an internal investigation after an incident with Krasnodar fans who accused the Moscow club of racism during a Russian Football Cup match.

"PFC CSKA categorically condemns any manifestations of racism. For many decades, CSKA has been an international team that honors and respects athletes of all nationalities, races and faiths," the club said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that the investigation involved cameras from the match, private footage of fans, as well as media representatives and video footage from the stands of the last meeting. At the same time, at the moment, Krasnodar's accusations "have no factual basis," the club clarifies.

However, CSKA added that a certain number of episodes have already been found that can be interpreted as provocative actions on the part of individual Krasnodar players.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Krasnodar players broke down the door in the locker room of the CSKA VEB Arena stadium on March 4 after their defeat in the Russian Football Cup match. At the same time, the Krasnodar team itself, in response to the accusations, noted that during the meeting, CSKA fans showed racism, expressed in insulting shouts.

On March 4, CSKA Moscow beat Krasnodar in the first match of the semi-final of the Russian Premier League Cup of Russia with a score of 3:1. Kirill Glebov, Danil Krugovoy and Mateus Alves scored goals for CSKA.
