A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their position along the front line and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 225 people, three armored fighting vehicles, 20 vehicles and two artillery pieces. An electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot and eight material depots were destroyed.
As a result of decisive actions, the military personnel of the Zapad group of forces liberated the village of Yarovaya in the DPR. Enemy manpower and equipment were also hit in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. Over 180 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles and two artillery pieces, including a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the United States, were destroyed. Three ammunition depots were destroyed.
The southern group of troops improved the situation along the front line and defeated the Ukrainian formations in the settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 135 militants, five armored combat vehicles, including two M113 armored personnel carriers and a US-made Stryker armored personnel carrier, 13 vehicles, as well as four field artillery guns. Two electronic warfare stations and four material depots were destroyed.
The Center group of troops took more advantageous positions and frontiers and hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 345 people, seven armored combat vehicles, 12 vehicles, a Czech-made Vampire multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and two field artillery guns.
The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses, and also defeated units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy's losses amounted to over 280 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and an electronic warfare station.
The units of the Dnepr group of forces have improved their tactical situation. They defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region. More than 50 Ukrainian militants, 16 vehicles, an artillery piece, three electronic warfare stations and two warehouses of materiel were destroyed.
Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy and transport facilities used in the interests of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, training and launching sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 152 areas.
Eight guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 410 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed four unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 119770 unmanned aerial vehicles, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,8036 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,681 multiple rocket launchers, 33638 field artillery guns and mortars, 55925 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
