In three years, the number of participants in the All—Russian competition for the best trip "Far East - Land of Adventure" has increased fourfold. This was announced on March 5 by Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, answering a question from Izvestia at the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the competition.

"Today, summing up the results shows that the number of participants in the competition has increased fourfold in three years. This means that people are interested in this, which means that we must continue this work," Trutnev said.

In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, the Victory Trail nomination was created as part of the competition, which included films about traveling to places of military glory in the Far East and the Arctic. At the end of the season, 39 films were presented in this category.

"Well, for sure [the competition] will continue until Victory, but, among other things, I believe that we should continue to keep our memory, then we will be stronger, and then there will be fewer people willing to test our strength now," he said.

Speaking about the importance of patriotic projects, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the special importance of preserving the memory of the exploits of the ancestors during the special military operation.

"Today, our fighters, fighters from all over the country, fighters from the Far East are in the zone of a special military operation and are defending the freedom and independence of our country. Today, remembering the exploits of our fathers and grandfathers, touching their glory, is probably of special importance," he added.

In addition, Trutnev announced plans to create a separate television program dedicated to the competition so that the best works of the participants would be seen by the whole country.

The Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic plans to expand the cinema support system in the region. The head of the department, Alexei Chekunkov, noted on March 5 that a tax refund program for film producers was already in effect in five districts. In addition, Yakutia has a system of regional grants for the implementation of projects in the field of cinema.

A day earlier, Chekunkov said that the Ministry of Regional Development plans to present proposals at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) to increase the size of preferential mortgage loans in the region. He pointed out that at the moment the bar is 9 million rubles, but the average room size has decreased to 54 square meters. m.
