Tehran's statements about the downed F-15 fighter jet of the US Air Force do not correspond to reality. This was announced on March 5 by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

"Rumors spreading on social networks about the crash of an American F-15 fighter jet in Iran early on Wednesday morning are groundless and untrue," the agency said in its channel on the social network X (ex.Twitter).

On the same day, the Mehr news agency reported that Iranian air defense systems shot down an F-15 fighter jet near the Alborz mountain range north of Tehran.

On March 2, the US Central Command said that three American F-15E fighter jets were shot down on March 1 over Kuwait by friendly fire. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) claimed on March 4 that the planes were shot down by Kuwait by mistake.

On the same day, Tasnim news agency reported that the Iranian Armed Forces shot down an American fighter jet in the skies over Kuwait, and the crew managed to evacuate. The videos attached to the publication show two pilots ejecting from a burning aircraft.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
