The Central Bank announced the launch of the Antidrop platform in 2027
The Bank of Russia expects that the Antidrop platform for countering fraudulent transfers may become operational in the second half of 2027. This was announced on March 5 by the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, at the annual meeting of credit institutions with the leadership of the regulator.
"We would also like to implement this platform as soon as possible, we consider it very important, but everything will depend on two things. The first is how quickly the legislative changes will come into force, and the second is technical readiness," Nabiullina said.
According to her, the regulator has already formulated its proposals for adjusting legislation and plans to develop regulatory legal acts.
"Without even waiting for these changes to be adopted, we started working on the development of the platform itself, and the functional requirements have already been prepared," the head of the Central Bank added.
Alexey Kuzmin, Chairman of the Management Board of National Savings Bank JSC, told Izvestia on December 17 that the Antidrop system was designed to improve the security of financial transactions by accurately identifying account holders and eliminating questionable transactions.
